Uncle Bart organises your discovery of Flanders

Guided daytrips for 1 to 6 participants

Uncle Bart organises your day trip, is your personal driver and your guide

Daytrips for tourists visiting Flanders

For Uncle Bart enthusiasm, relaxing and pleasure are keywords. You can decide on the balance between activity and peace. Uncle Bart is not the typical guide with an umbrella showering you with names and dates. Traveling with Uncle Bart means enjoying your time in a small group. The program is flexible and can be changed on the spot.

Before leaving on a day trip, I will contact you personally. On that occasion I will listen to your requests and will make some proposals. I always take in account your physical capabilities. We will also take a look at the required budget.

Once I have a clear view on your requests, I will give you a price for the day.

In this price is included:

1 to 6 passengers, pick-up at your holiday addres (within reasonable range),  all travel costs, personal guidance by Uncle Bart, visiting at ease and tons of fun.

Excluded from this price: lunch and/or dinner, drinks, souvenirs and possible entrance fees. As an extra, you can ask me to take pictures of your day out.

The payment is to be done in advance, or at the start of the day trip, by transfer or by Payconic. Any additional costs made by Uncle Bart are to be paid at the end of the day.

Inspiration for a daydream

Bruges and its surrounding polders area

During the day we have several possibilities such as visiting Bruges, Damme, the coastline, a walk in the 'polders' , a car trip in the region,...

You are free to choose the day program. Lunch and dinner can be included in a wide variety of possibilities, going from a Belgian Fries to a Gastronomic Supper.

A daytrip to the Ypres Salient

Ypres is forever connected with the First World War.

To understand things better, Uncle Bart takes you on a car trip in this historic region.

Oudenaarde and the Flemish Ardennes

If you want to experience the mythical region of the famous cycling race, I can take you on a tour 'over the hills and far away'. If you would like to climb the Koppenberg or the Geraardsbergen 'Wall' yourself, we can take a couple of bicycles on the back of the car. For non-cyclists, Uncle Bart wil provide you with hats and flags so you can encourage your hero.

A walk in Brussels

I take you on a walk through the capital of Belgium. We visit the authentic part 'Les Marolles' and pass all the major hotspots in the city center. Depending on your interests the tour can also include Comic Strip walls and museum, or houses designed by Victor Horta.

Of course no city visit is complete without a nice dinner in one of the many restaurants in the city.

Uncle Bart will help you to discover the city without an overload of history, dates and names.

Flanery in Ghent

A lot of tourists visiting Belgium go to Bruges and to Brussels, but they forget Ghent. That is a bad decision. Ghent is a historic city that was of major importance in the history of Flanders. Did you know the city was once bigger than London or Paris?

Around 1910 the city was 'cleaned up' and got itself a more medieval look in preparation of the world exhibit of 1913. Since then the inner city has barely changed. Ghent is full of romantic spot and a must see during your stay in Flanders.
